Midwestern State University is a public liberal arts college in Wichita Falls, which is a city in the US state of Texas, that serves as the county seat of Wichita County, with a population estimated at a number of more than 101 000 inhabitants, during the 2008 census.
Midwestern State was established in 1922 as Wichita Falls Junior College, and adopted its current name in 1975.
